The Sleep Store Classic Cot is everything you need in a cot – safe, stylish, great quality, amazing value and timeless.

With its slimline style and simple design, the Classic Cotlooks great in any nursery – big or small. Made from NZ pine, it gives a lovely natural look to any Nursery. The Classic Cot has two height settings, high and low, so it can be used from Newborn whilst not being so hard on your back. It’s a great option when you need to use the cot in your own bedroom or when children need to share a room.

A common question we get asked is – Why does the side of your cot not drop down?

It’s simple: we have chosen a fixed side cot as these are the safest and most durable option. Cots with drop-down sides have been illegal to manufacture, sell or distribute in America since 2013 – the most common fault with cots, especially over time, is the failure of the drop-side mechanism. Children can suffer entrapment injuries or fall from the cot when the drop-side fails. By eliminating this unnecessary feature, it means parents can rest easy knowing their cot will be safer and last longer.

Your Sleep Store Classic cot is made from 100% New Zealand Pine. Other value cots have solid synthetic wood bases, whereas we have chosen to use solid NZ pine with a slatted base for the best ventilation.

There are two height options for the cot base:

High – Bassinet height, can be used from newborn
Low – To be used as soon as your baby can sit up

Mattress is not included, however we sell these separately on our website.

Quality

We have sourced these cots from a well-regarded factory in China, who makes cots for leading European nursery stores such as Mothercare. Made from New Zealand pine, your Sleep Store Classic Cot is of high quality and comes with a 12-month warranty. Our Classic Cot has been independently tested and meets the New Zealand standard.

Important delivery information – If you live at a rural address, cots and mattresses can only be delivered to a local depot. Please specify which depot you would prefer in the delivery comments. We cannot guarantee it will be shipped to this depot, however we will advise once we have confirmation from the courier company – Aramex.

Care

All assembly fittings should be tightened properly, checked regularly and re-tightened as necessary.

Your cot can be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth and drying with a soft clean cloth. Do not use the abrasives, bleach, alcohol or ammonia based household polishes.

We offer fast, economical shipping across New Zealand. All items on our website are in stock, ready to dispatch (excludes pre-order or custom size items). Most orders arrive within 1-3 business days. Auckland shipping is generally overnight or you can choose Click and Collect.

Shipping starts from $5 for small items. Just add your items to your cart and use the Shipping Estimator in the Mini Cart or Cart with your post code. Please double check your shipping in the checkout, particularly for large items which the estimator doesn’t accurately calculate.

We ship with Courier Post & Fastway. Packages are sent Non-Signature Required unless over $350 value or you request Signature Required for security concerns. If you are rural, we don’t charge extra but please do include a note on your order so we can ticket your package correctly. Please allow additional days for rural or you are ordering during holiday periods or major promotions.

Large Furniture is shipped using a designated furniture delivery service with two person delivery to the door.

Returned items must be received back in perfect condition, unused and unwashed condition including the instructions and packaging. Please ensure you carefully package items so they are received back in perfect condition.
